Baileys Fibreglass Marine Gelcoat Filler & Catalyst Brilliant White

This thixotropic Gelcoat is a high-quality Lloyds approved coating which provides excellent weathering and water resistance properties to fibreglass. Gelcoat is often used as the first layer in a mould, and when cured it forms a high gloss finish on the outer layer of the finished product. Apply high grade UV stabilised gel coating using a brush or roller in workshop temperatures between 16°C to 23°C.

This Gelcoat is supplied with MEKP liquid catalyst, which is required for the coating to cure. The mix ratio is 2 parts MEKP hardener to 100 parts Gelcoat.

For best results, the gelcoat should be applied to a clean, polished mould in one even layer 0.4mm to 0.5mm thick (400 to 500 microns).

Gel time: less than 15 minutes

Cure time: less than 90 minutes
