International Primocon Antifouling Primer

Primocon is a grey, tar-free, quick drying, conventional primer for all substrates underwater and especially formulated for timber,steel, aluminium cast iron keels and lead keels. It is an aluminium pigmented, vinyl anti-corrosive that can be re-coated with itself after long periods and is quick drying even in poor conditions. I is also suitable as a barrier/sealer coat over incompatible or unknown antifoulings. This undercoat can be used underneath all International antifoulings. Not suitable to be overcoated with 2-component solvent-based paints. Can be applied by brush, roller or spray. Available in 2.5L and 750ml

• Substrates: aluminium (including propellers), zinc-galvanised steel, epoxy composite,carbon fibre, GRP, FRP, lead, steel, wood/li
• Finish/Sheen: Matt
• Thinner/ Cleaner: YTA085 Thinners No.3
• Method of application: Brush, Roller or Airless Spray
• If any filling required use the appropriate product from the Interfill range, after the first coat of Primocon has been applied
• Number of Coats: 1-5 by brush or roller depending on the substrate
• Apply the following number of coats:- Steel/ Aluminium/ Alloy/ Lead - 5, GRP - 1-2, Wood/ Plywood - 3, Barrier/ Sealer Coat - 1
• Coverage: Brush 7.4m m2, Roller 7.4m2, Airless spray 5m2 per litre
