Suitable for outboard or stern drive. Fitted correctly, prop guards increase propeller efficiency, decrease fuel consumption and improve boat handling.
Available in following sizes:
9-XP Prop Guard (Black): fits 5hp to 9hp outboards, and propellers up to 8.5″ in diameter.
9″ Prop Guard (Yellow): fits 9.9hp – 20hp outboards, and propellers up to 8.5″ in diameter.
11″ Prop Guard (Orange): fits 20hp – 35hp outboards, and propellers up to 10.5″ in diameter.
13″ Prop Guard (Blue): fits 40hp – 65hp outboards, and propellers up to 12.5″ in diameter.
14″ Prop Guard (Red): fits 70hp – 100hp outboards, and propellers up to 13.5″ in diameter.
General Information:
Optimal performance of the outboard is achieved when the prop blades are close to the prop guard rings. For optimal performance, upgrade the outboard propeller to a size closer to the guard ring size.
Carefully check size and clearance before drilling holes and installing.
After installation, the motor will have to be trimmed.
(Note: Product size is the guard’s internal diameter size, so the propeller diameter has to be slightly smaller).
