Flex hose doubts.

Bought this hose for my cockpit drains.
In my opinion this hose is not suitable for anything below the waterline.
The actual wall thickness of the material between the ribs is just under 1.0 mm.
The existing hose is just below 4.0 mm.
Not man enough!
