An end-fed 90cm AIS stainless steel whip supplied with mast bracket and without cable or PL259 connector to make it a sailboat favourite. This mast mount antenna is optimised for all brands of AIS equipment and centred on 162MHz. However, as a result it is compromised on the VHF voice channels, particularly at the lower end of the band. Using a dedicated AIS antenna helps to eliminate interference from nearby channels.
