Light your way through the night. The COAST EAL17 Emergency Area Light combines the best recreation-style lantern lighting with an emergency mode for signaling under duress. Featuring a 4-mode smart switch, this high-output area light fills the surroundings with up to 580 lumens of multi-mode light in two colors—white and red.

For emergencies, the flashing red option catches the eye quickly in a call for help, and a 31-hour run time means you have 2+ nights of light on one set of batteries. Stand the light on its base, carry it by the swinging handle, or hang it from the easy-stow hook integrated into the handle. Constructed of high-strength nylon and polycarbonate with a stainless steel outer cage, the impact-resistant EAL17 makes nights brighter, safer, and more fun. 

Coast’s dependable EAL17 lantern has been upgraded. It is now rechargeable, which offers you much lower running costs as well as being better for the environment, and it’s even brighter than its predecessor.

The battery compartment has been reconfigured to accept the enclosed ZX955 ‘Zithion’ rechargeable battery, which will provide up to 31hrs of 360-degree illumination on its low-intensity setting - sufficient for about four nights and perfectly bright enough for most uses. When you need more power, the high-intensity setting now delivers 580 lumens; and there are options for static red and flashing red light too.

As a back-up, you can still use four of the widely-available D batteries. Measures 26cm tall. Charge using USB-C cable, not supplied.
