Hempel’s Degreaser 99611 is a solvent-based marine cleaning agent developed to remove surface contaminants including oil, grease, wax and silicone. It is intended for surface preparation tasks where contaminants must be removed before coating or abrasion.

Suitable for preparing oily wood before coating, it can also remove wax coats and silicone residue from moulds, remove polish residue from glass fibre and clean GRP before abrading. Hempel also specifies the product for cleaning tools after use with two-component epoxy products.

Apply Hempel Degreaser with a lint-free cloth in a well-ventilated area. Soak the cloth with the product, wipe the surface in a straight stroke and then wipe the cleaner off in a straight stroke.
