Description

Hempel’s Infinity 77505 is a water-based maintenance coating for recharging sound Hempel’s Silic One 77450 or Hempasil Pro 87850 fouling-release systems below the waterline. It extends the performance of the existing silicone coating for a further season without requiring a complete Silic One repaint. The theoretical coverage is 8.9m² per litre, commonly rounded to 9m² per litre.

Hempel’s Infinity is intended exclusively for previously applied Hempel silicone fouling-release coatings that remain in good condition. It is not a standalone antifouling, must not be applied directly to an uncoated hull and should not be used over incompatible antifouling systems.

The transparent, water-based treatment is applied by brush or roller across the entire underwater surface. It provides a simplified seasonal maintenance option without sanding, masking or applying a conventional replacement coat of Hempel’s Silic One.

Before application, remove oil, grease and other contamination using a suitable detergent. The existing coating must be clean, dry and sound. Any repairs to the silicone coating must be completed at least 24 hours, but no more than one month, before applying Hempel’s Infinity.

Stir the product thoroughly and apply it liberally by brush or roller, ensuring the complete underwater area and previous coating are covered. Allow the treatment to infuse into the existing coating for at least 24 hours, or 48 hours at temperatures below 10°C, then rinse the surface with fresh water. The minimum time to immersion is 24 hours at 20°C, while the maximum time before immersion is one month.
