I don't often review things, but these are an exception. I bought these as part of my 'uniform' as a yacht surveyor, as well as for sailing. In both cases, you need a pretty much tread-free sole, so you don't get gravel, mud etc in the gaps between the treads. I have, however, found them so comfortable, and easy to slip on without having to bend down and fiddle with laces, that I seldom now wear any other shoes. I've just ordered another pair in case they stop making them.
I bought these for sailing. But they are so comfortable that I wear them for everyday use.
