Description

The Lalizas 70141–70142 stainless steel tender davit range is designed for lifting tenders and dinghies. Choose a single 40mm or 60mm davit rated to 60kg or 85kg, or a paired system with a combined capacity of 120kg or 170kg. All models have a 1200mm overall A dimension.

Lalizas stainless steel tender davits provide a fixed lifting point for raising and lowering a tender from a boat. The curved davit arm positions the lifting line outboard of the mounting point, while the below-deck socket supports the vertical davit tube.

The range includes individual davits and paired davit systems. Two sizes are available: a 40mm tube version with 650mm horizontal outreach and a larger 60mm tube version with 750mm horizontal outreach.

Model Options

  • 70141: Single davit with 40mm tube and 60kg maximum lifting weight.
  • 70142: Single davit with 60mm tube and 85kg maximum lifting weight.
  • 70141P: Pair of 40mm davits with 120kg maximum combined lifting weight.
  • 70142P: Pair of 60mm davits with 170kg maximum combined lifting weight.

Important: The lifting capacities stated for 70141P and 70142P apply to the complete pair, not to each individual davit.

Davit Dimension Guide

The A, B, C and D measurements shown in the dimensional drawing identify the following:

  • A – Overall Davit Height: Measured vertically from the bottom of the mounting socket to the centre of the upper lifting point or sheave.
  • B – Horizontal Outreach: Measured horizontally from the centreline of the vertical davit tube to the vertical lifting line at the upper lifting point.
  • C – Mounting Socket Depth: The vertical depth of the mounting socket below the deck surface.
  • ØD – Mounting Socket Outside Diameter: The external diameter of the below-deck mounting socket or sleeve.
  • Tube Diameter: The outside diameter of the removable stainless steel davit tube.

The ØD mounting socket diameter is separate from the davit tube diameter. For example, model 70141 uses a 40mm davit tube with a 45mm mounting socket diameter.

Which Davit Do I Need?

Choose the model according to the fully loaded weight of the tender, the required horizontal outreach and the available mounting space.

The tender’s lifting weight should include the tender hull, outboard engine, fuel tank, fuel, battery and any equipment remaining in the tender while it is lifted.

The mounting surface and supporting structure must be suitable for the stated load. Do not exceed the maximum lifting weight, and have the installation assessed by a competent marine installer where necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are these davits used for?
They are designed to raise and lower a tender or dinghy from a boat.

What does dimension A measure?
Dimension A is the overall vertical measurement from the bottom of the mounting socket to the centre of the upper lifting point.

What does dimension B measure?
Dimension B is the horizontal outreach from the centreline of the vertical davit tube to the lifting line.

What does dimension C measure?
Dimension C is the depth of the mounting socket below the deck.

What does dimension D measure?
Dimension ØD is the outside diameter of the mounting socket. It is not the davit tube diameter.

Are the 70141 and 70142 supplied individually?
Yes. These part numbers identify single davits.

What does the P suffix mean?
The 70141P and 70142P are paired davit configurations.

Are the 120kg and 170kg ratings per davit?
No. These are the combined maximum lifting capacities of the complete paired systems.
