Tecnoseal GUA105UK Disc Anode Backing Pad is a rubber mounting pad for the Tecnoseal 00105UK, 00105UKAL and 00105UKMG 140mm UK-pattern disc-anode family. It sits between the anode body and the mounting surface to protect the surface and provide a correctly shaped bedding layer; the pad itself is not a sacrificial anode.

What Is This Backing Pad Used For?

The pad is shaped for the large 00105UK-family disc anode and is used between the anode body and suitable hull or underwater mounting surface to protect the substrate and support the installation.

The anode must still be electrically connected through its strap, studs or specified bonding arrangement. A rubber or neoprene pad does not create electrical continuity and should not be placed over a contact point that the installation design requires to remain bare metal.
