Polymarine Sealflex Inflatable Boat Sealant - 500ml

Polymarine Sealflex 500ml is a flexible water-based acrylic latex sealant designed to repair porosity and minor air leaks from the inside of PVC and Hypalon inflatable boats, RIBs and other inflatable fabric structures. Rather than applying patches externally, Sealflex is poured into the tube through the inflation valve, where it coats the interior surface and cures to form a durable, airtight membrane.

The improved formula flows more efficiently around the inside of the tube, helping it reach porous areas and small leaks with ease. Once introduced into the chamber, simply inflate the tube and roll or tumble the inflatable to evenly distribute the sealant. Air pressure forces the sealant into the fabric, creating a long-lasting internal air barrier as it cures.

Supplied in a convenient 500ml bottle, one container is sufficient to treat an 8–9ft inflatable. Sealflex can also be used during manufacture by brushing it onto the inside of seams to improve airtightness before assembly.

Ideal for extending the life of ageing inflatable boats and maintaining reliable air retention without extensive dismantling or patch repairs.

Application Instructions

1. Identify the areas where air loss is occurring.
2. Pour Sealflex into the inflatable through the inflation valve using a small funnel if required, dividing the sealant between chambers.
3. Inflate the inflatable to the highest safe operating pressure.
4. Roll and rotate the inflatable thoroughly, paying particular attention to the identified leak areas to distribute the sealant evenly.
5. The internal air pressure forces the sealant into the fabric, creating an airtight barrier.
6. Pour out any excess sealant and continue rotating the inflatable periodically to redistribute any remaining liquid.
7. As Sealflex is air curing, partially deflate and reinflate the inflatable over the following few days to assist the curing process.
