Why fuel care matters
Boat fuel needs extra care to keep engines performing well. Petrol can start to degrade within weeks. Untreated fuel oxidises and forms gum-like deposits that settle in lines, tanks, carburettors and injectors. Maintenance tip
Periodically check fuel filters and tanks for sediment and water. Non-ethanol fuel can leave sediment on tank walls, and first-use ethanol blends may loosen that build-up. Good filtration helps stop harmful debris from reaching the engine.
