Siderise Aquafon Soundproofing Acoustic Insulation With Silver Foil - 27mm

The Aquafon is a 27mm thick version in the Siderise marine soundproofing range. These acoustic insulation panels typically reduce sound by 31dB. They are particularly suitable for recreational craft up to 24m and carrying up to 12 people, engine room bulkhead lining and external lining sheet for ducts, pipes and tanks.

We have chosen the best quality materials for our sound insulation range to ensure they perform to the highest standards, making them suitable for use in engine rooms as well as other areas in the boat. Each soundproofing sheet is comprised of various layers which all play an important part.

Aquafon is a range of soft, flexible acoustic barrier quilts designed and tested to offer a moisture-resistant solution for reducing engine noise transmission into the main cabin and living spaces, helping to ensure a relaxing ambience, and protecting all on board from the effects of noise.

The two products in the range are made from a multi-layered composite sheet which has been engineered to offer an excellent weight-to-performance ratio at reduced thickness - all whilst offering excellent fire performance. Thanks to this, Aquafon is easy to install without compromising internal space. Meanwhile, its' attractive Class ‘0’ reinforced aluminium foil outer layer, provides an effective vapour barrier and a professional finish resistant to oil / fuel ingress.

Due to manufacturing and transportation, the overall dimension shown may vary by up to 4mm. This is a box of 4 marine soundproof insulation panels, 16 self-adhesive backed fixing pins, 16 retaining clips, 2 rolls of 50mm wide foil edge sealing tape.

The 27mm thickness is a nominal thickness. Prior to manufacture the acoustic quilt is 25mm and the mass barrier is 2mm thick. Please note that once its laminated nipped, trimmed and boxed it does become compressed to approximately 15 -18mm. The performance ratings are based on the final laminated product.
