Description

Sikaflex®-291i is a high-performance, one-component polyurethane marine sealant and adhesive developed specifically for boat building, marine maintenance and repair. Designed to create durable, flexible and vibration-resistant seals, it is ideal for a wide variety of sealing and bonding applications both above and below deck.

Offering excellent adhesion to many of the materials commonly used in marine construction, Sikaflex 291i bonds securely to wood, metals, painted surfaces, GRP (fibreglass), ceramics and many plastics. Once cured, it forms a highly elastic, weatherproof and seawater-resistant seal capable of withstanding the demanding conditions encountered in marine environments.

Its solvent-free, low-odour formulation is easy to apply and provides outstanding long-term flexibility without becoming brittle. Sikaflex 291i is also paintable after curing, making it suitable for professional boat building, refits and repair work where a neat, finished appearance is required.

Please note: Sikaflex®-291i should not be used on plastics susceptible to stress cracking, including PMMA (acrylic) and polycarbonate (PC). Adhesion and compatibility testing should always be carried out on the intended substrates before use.
